"Burning Sky Everest" HD Print

$69.00

The idea for this painting came from a photo I saw of Everest. As the tallest mountain on Earth at 29032 ft elevation nearly five and a half miles it was inspiring to look at and a real challenge to paint. I completely changed the sky from the reference photo to a burning sky which required me to change the colors of the landscape as well because of how the sun affected them. This is an interpretation of Everest I changed much of the landscape from the original reference photo. Mount Everest has a harsh reputation and a disturbing record for the most deaths on a mountain with the known total being 305 although no one is sure of the complete total.   "Burning Sky Everest"
