"Autumn Chase", is an ambitious endeavor to capture the beauty and majesty of the American wilderness --I put over 160 hours into crafting every detail.

The painting features a whitetail buck with thick, rare drop tines. In 2021 my brother harvested this buck and I ventured to bring him back to life using only a photo snapped afterward. This buck scored 182 Boone and Crockett and can be seen adjacent to two does grazing in a clearing. I attempted to render the buck with incredible detail, from the individual hairs on its coat to the piercing gaze in its eyes.

With a vision of autumn colors the trees painted in shades of orange, yellow, red, and green, as far as the eye can see, I wanted to shape this landscape around a stream that winds through, adding a sense of motion and depth.

The sunrise in the background with hints of pinks, oranges, and purples blending together create a striking contrast to the landscape below. The light of the sunrise coats the entire scene in a golden glow, bringing out the full beauty of the natural world.

A note about the frame:   This was given to me by the famous Al Agnew and was used to display his paintings.   He had it custom-made.   From the front, this beautiful rustic frame compliments the piece.   It's obvious that many hours went into the creation of it.    From the back, you can see wear and even some scribbles from Agnew himself.   One of the most unique frames Ive seen.
